Privacy Policy

The short version

• You don't create an account to use the generator.
• Your accomplishment notes and the statements Brevet generates are never stored or logged on our servers — drafts live on your own device.
• To generate text, your input is sent to our AI provider, used to produce the result, and not kept by us.
• We only collect an email if you join the waitlist or ask for a reply on feedback, plus anonymous, content-free usage analytics.
• We don't sell your data and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your drafts stay on your device

Anonymous use is the default. The notes you enter and the statements Brevet generates are saved only in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB) on your device — we don't receive a copy or keep them on our servers. You can erase them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

AI generation

When you generate or refine a statement, the text you entered is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which returns suggested wording. This happens on our server, which passes the request through and returns the result — we do not log or retain your input or the generated statements. Under Anthropic's API terms, content sent to its API is not used to train its models.

Because your input is processed to produce text, do not enter classified material, CUI, or sensitive personal information. See the what-not-to-paste guidance and the Terms of Service.

What we collect

• Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address to notify you about launch — nothing else.
• Feedback. If you send feedback, we store your message and topic, and — only if you provide it — your email so we can reply.
• Anonymous usage analytics.We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that record events (for example, “generation completed” or “statement copied”) and safe metadata only — which screen, a character count, or a pass/warn/fail level. Never your accomplishment text or generated statements.
• An anonymous session identifier.A random ID kept in your browser to apply free-usage limits and prevent abuse. It isn't tied to your identity.
• Basic server logs.Like most websites, our host may record standard request data (such as IP address and timestamp) for security and reliability. We don't use it to identify you.

Cookies

We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and our analytics is cookieless. We use your browser's local storage to hold your drafts and the anonymous session ID — that information stays on your device.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers, each receiving only what its function requires:

• Anthropic — AI generation.
• Vercel — hosting and privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics.
• Supabase — secure storage for waitlist and feedback emails.
• Resend — delivering submitted feedback to us by email.

Your choices

• Use the generator fully anonymously — no contact details required.
• Erase your drafts by clearing this site's data in your browser.
• Leave the waitlist, or have your feedback/email removed, by emailing hello@usebrevet.com.

How long we keep things

Drafts remain on your device until you clear them; we never hold a copy. Waitlist and feedback emails are kept until launch communications conclude or you ask us to delete them.

Children

Brevet is intended for adult service members and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date above and note material changes.
